This coffee IPA showcases the earthy, fruity and citrus notes of coffee, not the big roastiness associated with dark coffee beers. We took locally roasted beans from our friends at Coffee Basics and added them at two stages of brewing: dark roasted Australian coffee late in the boil and light roasted Peruvian cold steeped just prior to kegging. The tropical hops and the coffee play together, delivering complex bitterness and a touch of sweetness.
